It's been just over 4 years since I last wrote in this thing. Or submitted at all. Sad.

Going back through my submissions, I realized that most of them weren't "art" but more "memories" and "scrapbooking" stuff. So I just deleted most of them.
A lot of what I erased had to do with my job in California. Not really art. More like a work portfolio. I should create a different DA-ID for those things, like psycholagny-vm.

Right now we're in Germany. I've been taking pictures, occasionally drawing, what have you.

Maybe I'll start submitting again one day...

Okay so we aren't leaving Fort Irwin on Christmas Day... not sure -when- exactly we're leaving now. I'm still holding on to -sometime- around the 20^th or so.

Bleh.

AC finally got turned off here at work. Someone went to adjust the heat and somehow turned the AC on full blast. It was colder in the office than it's been outisde!
I'm starting to feel my fingers again.

Worst day of the year for people in retail... or probably any other type of business.

Best day of the year for shopaholics.

...I wonder how shopaholics who work in retail feel about this day. They can't shop since they're working, so they can only compulsively salivate over the wonderful deals they're missing.

Owch.

Me? I'm working. Printing posters, making signs, same ol' same ol'.

Oh, and we just found out that we leave Fort Irwin on Christmas Day. So, for the few that have been missing me in Sunny Floriduh, I should be back around New Year's Eve [depending on how much time we spend in Shreveport on the way back].

Lordy, I'm tired.

Just had our HQ visit a few hours ago. Although he's not -here- in the store at the moment, he's still meandering around the post checking out other facilities.

I was fine this morning, but running around base like a chicken with my head cut off changing out Veteran's Day Holiday Hours of Operation for every facility (~33 total), making new signs, and even completely redoing some of the mini-posters we did yesterday [because -somehow- no one noticed that they read "Cannon Main Store" at the top...]

Yes. One of those days.

Is it just me, or does it make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE to celebrate Oktoberfest with American beer? Sure, we have liqor and wine companies coming to help out, but NO GERMAN BEER! How about some Hefeweizen at least? Oh, wait... I know why: because it's easier to deal with domestic beer than it is imports. Easier to get permission from the companies, and easier to get a vendor out here to ensure we won't get in any trouble. Bah.
[I'm referring to the Class VI's 2nd Annual Oktoberfest this Friday the 13th... hahaha.]

Although it's still 2.5 months away, I'm torn about what to do for Christmas. Mother's going to be in San Francisco on her way out of the country, so I'd planned on maybe dragging the wifey up there... but Mikey doesn't want to drive "all the way up to San Francisco on Christmas weekend." In other words, I'm basically going to have to choose between Mother and Mikey. Bleh. Either way, whomever I don't see will be with friends... but still. I want both! [Call me spoiled]

It smells like grain in here... like wheat or barley... weird. Just started smelling that. Total bread overload.

I almost broke my finger today. Juggling a phone call from Mother and a few other things, I went to shut the door to my house as I was heading back to work... and not all of me made it through in time. It's all wrapped/splinted and looks like I made a retarded attempt to cut through the middle of it with scissors... but diagonally. Speee-shal.

AAFES radio network sucks. I think they're playing Vanessa Williams or something. Before that it was Michael Bolton. BLEH!
